Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
These terms apply to quotes issued and work carried out by Machining Colorado. They are written to be read, not to be survived. If something here does not suit your situation, raise it before the job starts and we will agree it in writing.
1. Quotes
Quotes are free and carry no obligation. A quote is based on the drawings, samples, photographs or descriptions supplied at the time. If the part turns out to differ from what was supplied — different material, additional features, damage not visible in a photo — we will tell you and re-quote before continuing rather than absorb it or surprise you with it later.
Unless stated otherwise, a quote is valid for 30 days.
2. Lead times
Timelines we give are honest estimates based on current shop load and material availability, not guarantees. If a deadline is critical, tell us when you request the quote — we would rather decline a job than miss a date you were relying on.
We work standard business hours, Monday to Friday. We do not currently offer after-hours or emergency call-out service.
3. What you provide
Where you supply a drawing or specification, we machine to it. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you supply and for confirming that the part is fit for its application. Where we spot something in a print that looks likely to cause a problem, we will raise it — but the design remains yours.
By sending us a drawing, sample or model, you confirm you have the right to have that part made.
4. Reverse-engineered parts
Where we produce a replacement from an existing component, we work from the sample provided. A worn or broken original may not reflect the part’s original dimensions, and we will tell you where we have had to interpret. Replacement parts are not manufactured by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the original equipment manufacturer.
5. Your property
Drawings, models and sample parts you send us remain yours. We treat them as confidential, use them only for your job, and will return sample parts on request. While we take reasonable care of items in our possession, we recommend you do not send an irreplaceable original without discussing it with us first.
6. Payment
Payment terms are set out on your quote or invoice. A deposit may be required before work begins, particularly on larger jobs or where material must be purchased up front. Title to finished parts passes on payment in full.
7. If something is wrong
If a part does not match the agreed drawing or specification, tell us promptly and we will correct or remake it. That is our responsibility and we will stand behind it.
We cannot accept responsibility for a part that matches the specification supplied but proves unsuitable in application, nor for consequential losses such as downtime, lost production or lost profit. Our liability in connection with any job is limited to the amount paid for that job.
8. Cancellation
You can cancel before work begins at no cost. Once material has been purchased or machining has started, we will charge for work completed and material committed to that point.
9. Communications
If you provide your phone number and consent, we may contact you by text about your enquiry or job. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. See our Privacy Notice for how we handle your information.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado.
